We ask all those who take classes or participate in other activities at the JCCCM to become members of our organization. By becoming a member you demonstrate to us that you support our goals and the programs we offer. (About membership, click here.) ****
Classes on Tuesday, Friday or Saturday from 10 am -noon and Saturday from 1 pm – 3 pm
Contact Tosen (Mikiko) Simard (email@example.com) for more info.
From humble beginnings practicing on old rubber tires to the group’s present-day collection of over 30 drums, Montreal’s taiko group has changed and evolved over the years, bearing witness to a true “melange” of backgrounds in its members, while maintaining the original mission of its founders’ vision: to be a community-based group sharing this exciting aspect of Japanese culture with the public at large. All who have encountered Arashi Daiko have been touched by the family atmosphere its founders and members continue to cultivate.
Every year (usually in the fall) Arashi Daiko offers introductory taiko workshops to the general public. These workshops are generally open to people who are 14 years of age and older. Please subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of upcoming workshop dates!

Lessons in ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, will be held this fall. Attention given to the choice of materials, and the relationship of the flowers to the container and surrounding space distinguishes this art form from purely decorative arrangements.
Contact Raynald Donais (president of Montreal Ikenobo Ikebana Society) at 514-453-4851 or firstname.lastname@example.org for the schedule.
